“Jess and Jayme were amazing to work with. I found their info online and I am so thankful. They made everything so easy. We had a call in the very beginning and they asked us a few questions about ourselves and what we were looking for. After the call, they sent over options they thought fit what we’re looking for. Once we picked a resort, they did all the communication with the resort for our date and got the room block all set up for our guest. We unfortunately had a huge hiccup and the resort we picked announced they were closing for 6 months and our date was the in the middle of all that. They called me with the steps we would have to take going forward to find a new place. They got EVERYTHING transferred to the new resort, and fought for us to keep all pricing the same and even got us some extras for having to deal with it all. They were constantly reassuring me that everything would be okay and still be perfect! They were right!! They answered my 1 million questions and were so helpful through the whole process. “I had no idea that travel agents were a thing until I started doing some research. After searching online groups and some independent online research, I contacted several travel agents and scheduled calls with each of them. On the call we discussed what my husband and I were looking for in terms of ceremony and reception venues and overall resort feel, and the TAs sent a list of resorts to consider. Jess and Jayme with Here and Away Travel sent us three options (the others sent many many more), and ALL of them fit the build of what we were looking for: lots of greenery at the resort and ceremony & reception venues, a nice beach, and good food. Two of the resorts hit the nose on the head for us: Secrets Akumal and the Fives Beach Hotel and Residences. We didn’t want our ceremony on the beach, so it was important to us that the venues be very lush and green. Both resorts were gorgeous! Although the Fives was family-friendly and affordable, we opted for Secrets Akumal because it was adults-only, had better food, a great beach, and had more venue options. Jess and Jayme were incredibly helpful throughout the planning process, they got us a contract with concessions that gave us quite a bit of money back on our credit card, and we were able to upgrade some rooms for our family. They were super responsive via email and text, and always gave us thorough responses. They even helped us make some last minute travel changes when we decided to extend our stay at the resort an extra night! I would highly recommend Here and Away Travel to anyone looking for a travel agent!”

Jess and Jayme were absolutely amazing to work with. I got their info online and I was so thankful. They made everything so easy. They put together a presentation of possible resorts for me and would send more if I didn’t like them. When I finally chose a resort, they orchestrated everything with the room block and sent out emails and information packets to all my potential guests. When tragedy struck and the resort cancelled my room block after guests already started booking and my save the dates were sent, they stepped into action immediately and made sure everyone was refunded and quickly found us a new resort. They fielded so many questions from all my guests and even encouraged me to just send everyone their way for any travel related questions. They were so quick to respond, and I always felt like I could reach them at any time. They even fought to get extra rooms added to our room block when the resort said they couldn’t accommodate 2 more people because they were sold out.
