The Resort

Casa de Campo

Casa de Campo® Resort & Villas opened in La Romana, almost 50 years ago, as the first resort in the Dominican Republic.

We have been a favorite luxury destination for discerning travelers and celebrities who relish the private gated community for its safe and exclusive setting. We are known as the best golf resort in the world. Experience the 3 Pete Dye golf courses include Teeth of the Dog® , the #1 ranked course in the Caribbean.

The activities are world-class — 8 outstanding restaurants including the stunning Minitas Beach Club, a Marina, Equestrian Center featuring Polo, Shooting Course, great shopping, and 3 private pristine white sand beaches.

If you want the best, the most, and the first in the Caribbean, your Casa de Campo experience awaits in La Romana for you to experience privacy as the new luxury.

One of the simplest and most intimate pleasures in life is sharing a meal. Through breaking bread together we can experience different cultures and faraway lands without ever leaving the table. At Casa de Campo® Resort and Villas, every meal is a chance to explore, learn, and enjoy.

Let us take you on a culinary journey around the world where no two meals or experiences are ever the same, and every dish is created with its own personality and flavor. And for those times when you’d rather not leave the comfort of your home away from home, we’ll bring the taste experience to you with our room service delivery and private chef services.

Then, once the sun sinks into the Caribbean Sea for the night, experience Casa de Campo after dark with a wide variety of bars and lounges. From lively and loud to quiet and intimate, there’s something for every taste and mood.

Getting There

FLIGHTS

You will fly into either Punta Cana International Airport (PUJ) or Santo Domingo Airport (SDQ), and will be able to begin booking flights for June 2025 in August of 2024.

PUJ is the most commonly chosen airport due to costs and distance from the resort (45 minutes). SDQ often times has lower priced flights, but is 90 minutes from the airport (just keep in mind that transfers are more expensive).

Our Travel Agents, Jess & Jayme, are here to answer any questions regarding flights.

**You do have one other option of flying into La Romana Airport which is a very quick, 5 minute drive to Casa de Campo. This airport is very small and has very limited flights in and out of it, with the only nonstop direct flights from the US departing from Miami Airport.

PASSPORTS

Blue Passports BOOKS are REQUIRED for travel to the Dominican Republic. If you attempt to use a passport card or any other combination of IDs for international air travel, you will be denied entry to the Dominican Republic.

Please note that your passport MUST be valid for at least 6 months after your return travel date or you will be denied entry into the Dominican Republic.

If your passport needs to be renewed, or if you will be getting your passport for the first time, it would be best to start that process ASAP so that if you encounter any issues you have plenty of time to sort them out.

Please also note that your plane ticket must match the name on your passport EXACTLY.

If you have any questions regarding passports, please don’t hesitate to reach out to Jess & Jayme!

The Room Block

Carly + Zach have secured a room block for their guests at Casa de Campo. Your $200 deposit will be considered your “Yes” RSVP!

There is a 3 night minimum for all stays at Casa de Campo, and please note that Casa de Campo does NOT allow guests staying outside of the room block to attend the wedding events. This includes 3rd party bookings that are on-site (Casa de Campo private rentals via Airbnb, Expedia, etc.), or anyone staying off-site.

All guests must also be booked within the room block - if you book outside of the room block you will not be permitted to attend the wedding events. Please note that these are resort policies, not our own Agency policies, and they will be strictly enforced when you are on property.

When we use the term “Room Block,” we are referring to a group of rooms that are being held for a group with a certain locked in rate.

Booking within the group also protects you from an oversold resort situation - it does happen just like it happens on airlines - they sell extra rooms in order to account for anticipated cancellations, but sometimes this can result in guests being moved to another hotel. Booking into the group protects you from that happening in this situation. Please also note that booking into the room block comes with our agency services at no additional cost to you. We are here for pre-travel support as well as in travel support and assistance and/or guidance in case of any kind of travel emergency. If you choose to book outside the block and not through Here and Away Travel, we are unable to assist with any aspect of your travel, during-travel support, or travel emergencies.

What a room block is not:

A room block is not a PHYSICAL block of space being held all together for a group. With people checking in and out at different times, booking into different rooms categories (some of which are only in certain buildings), etc., it would be impossible for the resort to put everyone in every group in the same buildings. We can request for your room to be near another room, but please note that these are requests only and cannot be guaranteed. If you need to guarantee being near another room, we suggest booking a suite with those guests.

Follow the link below to see pricing and information on the room options that Carly + Zach are holding in their room block.

HOW TO BOOK

Those who book sooner will have a greater selection of rooms!

Room deposits must be made by January 15th, 2025. Final payments will be due on or before February 1st, 2025.

STEP ONE: To reserve your room, please fill out the following form to get started!

Please note that only one person from each room should fill out the form, but you will need all guests’ information to proceed.

Booking Process:

You will just have to put down a $200 deposit to hold your room, and you may make interest free payments at any time.

You will fill out the room reservation form, and then we will send you an invoice that you will approve to make sure everything is correct for your stay.

Once we receive that, we will make your deposit. Nothing will be charged to your card until you sign the invoice approval.

Any time you would like to make a payment, you will just request a link from the travel agents that will be sent over and you can make the payment for any amount you would like.

AIRPORT TRANSFERS

Round Trip Airport - Hotel Transfers (From PUJ Airport to Casa de Campo)

When filling out the reservation form, you will have two options:

Multi-Stop Shared Round Trip Transfers are $60 per person

Private Round Trip Transfers are $260 per car for up to 4 people (must be arriving on the same flight!)

**If you need pricing for more than 4 arriving on the same flight, please let us know!

It is very important to pre-arrange transportation to and from the hotel. Taxi services at the airport are expensive, unreliable, and inconvenient to have to deal with after a flight.

If you are flying into either Santo Domingo Airport or La Romana Airport, please let us know and we will get you the airport transfer quote for those airports.

INSURANCE + CANCELLATIONS

ALL RESERVATIONS IN THE GROUP ARE FULLY NON-REFUNDABLE AFTER February 1st, 2025 WITHOUT INSURANCE.

Here and Away Travel STRONGLY recommends that you purchase travel insurance, especially when traveling internationally.

We highly recommend travel insurance not only to protect the investment on your trip (many deposits and payments with group blocks are non-refundable if you do not), but also to protect you if something unexpected happens and you need medical attention or have to go to the hospital in the Dominican Republic. Most US insurance companies don't cover anything that happens outside of the USA, which can leave you with HUGE bills that would not be reimbursed unless you have medical coverage for your trip. (Also please note, the hospitals in the DR will not allow you to leave until ALL bills have been paid.) Please note that Here and Away Travel cannot help you recoup any financial losses that arise in the case that you do not purchase travel insurance.

CANCELLATIONS:

We know that most things that come up that would cause you to have to cancel your trip are unexpected and that most people think they will never use their travel insurance. The fact is, most won’t have to use it and we hope you never do. But travel insurance isn’t for those “most times.” It’s for the times that something unexpected comes up before or during travel - illnesses, last minute work obligations, sudden financial stresses, injuries during travel, etc. The last thing we want is for something incredibly stressful to be going on and then on top of it, you are out thousands of dollars in travel costs or medical expenses because you did not purchase insurance. Please note that not refunding costs after the date of February 1st, 2025 is not our policy, it is the resort’s group policy and they do not budge.

PLEASE we beg you to consider travel insurance so that you are financially protected in all scenarios.
